ECONOMY:
Agriculture: Main cash crops are coconut , cashewnut , arecanut, sugarcane, and fruits like pineapple, mango and banana. Goa produces 1,41,057 tones of paddy, 71,429 tones of sugarcane and 116 million units of coconuts. The State has a rich forest cover of more than 1,424 sq.k.m.
Irrigation and Power: Total potential created by the irrigation projects from dams like Selaulim and Anjumun and other minor irrigation projects till now is 34,843 hectare. All villages have been electrified leading to cent per cent coverage.
Industry and Minerals: The State has 5,430 small scale Industrial units with Investment of Rs.12,229 Lakhs and employment opportunities for 33,666 persons. In large and medium sector, these are 63 units with a total investment of Rs.43,695 Lakhs employing 11,700 persons. These are 14 Industrial estates besides a new electronic city coming up in the State. Mineral products are fesso-manganese , bauxite and iron ore contributing substantially to the economy of the State through exports.
Tourist Centre: It is one of the most important tourist centre of the country with many beaches, lake resorts and churches, the main one being Basilica of Bon Jesus and St. Cathedral churches at Old Goa. The State has rich wildlife sanctuaries.

ECONOMY
Agriculture : Main produce of tobacco, cotton and groundnut in the country and provides input for important industries like textiles, oil and soap.
Industry: It is considered as one of the leading industrialized states in the country . Indias largest petro-chemical complex of IPCL and Gujarat Oil Refinery located near Baroda have led to considerable development of Petro-chemical industry in this area. Gujarat stood first in the country in respect to project approval, according to NIC (National Information Centre), Industrial Entrepreneur Memoranda has approved various projects of Gujarat aggregating Rs.1,14,647 crore , accounting 20% of total investment in the country as compared to other states. These are at present over 2,443 projects in medium and large scale Industries under implementation with aggregate investment of Rs.1,18,765 crore. Of these, there are 147 projects each having investment of Rs.100 crore and above with an aggregate of Rs.96,761crore.
Irrigation: The total irrigation potential is 35.85 lakh hectare in the State. Thus the total resources harnessed with respect to ultimate potential and maximum utilization of harnessed resource is about 55.25% and 84.50% respectively. The ultimate irrigation potential including ground water as reassessed is 64.88 lakh hectare.

Agriculture: The state stands 7th in oilseed production in the country. The production of foodgrains has increased from 76.04 lakh tonnes to 84.96 lakh tonnes. Annual production horticultural crops is 120 lakh tonnes valued at Rs.4,500 crores.
Irrigation & Power : The ultimate irrigation potential of the state, from all sources has been estimated as about 55 lakh hectare consisting of 35 lakh hectare under major &medium,10 lakh hectare under minor irrigation (surface) project and 10 lakh hectare under ground water resources .The total energy generated during 1996-97 was 12,312 Mus.The state achieved 100% electrification of villages as on 31st March 1989 itself.
Industry & Minerals : The state is one of the leading industrialized states in India contributing 4% of the National production in the industrial sector ,and 20%to the state income.Karnataka stands first in production of electronic equipment &raw silk.The state is famous in the world market for its sandal soap &sandal wood oil.The state is rich in mineral resources.It has the distinction of being the main gold producing states in the country.It is the solo producer of Felsite &leading producer of moulding sand &Fuchsite Quartizite.The state has rich deposits of granite.

Agriculture : Agriculture is the mainstay of the states economy & 80% of the people live in villages.In all 43.7% of the land area is cultivable of which about 18% is irrigated .Principal crops are rice wheat & pulses , soyabean , rape &mustard .
Industry & Minerals : M.P has entered the era of high tech industries such as electronics , telecommunications , petrochemicals , food processing , motor vehicles etc.Its the first state in the country which has started production of optical fibre for telecommunications . M.P. produces about 1.60 lakh tonnes of cement annually . M.P. stands fourth among all states in the proposed investment memoranda filed with govt. of India by the entrepreneurs. M.P. has the second place among the mineral producing states of the country. Prominent minerals produced are coal , limestone , iron - ore , diamond , silica , phosphorite & tin. In all at present 27 kinds of minerals are being mined.
Irrigation & Power : At present total installed capacity in the state is 3,813.7 Mw. Further addition of about 400 - 500 Mw is likely by the end of eighth plan. Nearly 67,741 villages have been electrified in the state. Number of energized irrigation pumpsets is nearly 11.31 lakh. Also 22.17 lakh households have been provided subsidized single point connections.

Agriculture : Estimated foodgrain production is 149.85 lakh tonnes. Principal crops cultivated in the state are Rice , barley , jowar , millet , maize , gram , wheat , oilseeds , pulses , cotton & tobacco.Other crops are mustard , red chillies , cumin seeds , methi & hing.
Industry & Minerals : Rajasthan is mineral rich & is fast emerging on industrial scenario of the country. Major industries are textiles & woolens , sugar , cement , glass , sodium plants, oxygen , vegetable dyes , pesticides , zinc , fertilizers , railway wagons , ball bearing , water & electricity meters , sulphuric acid , television sets , synthetic yarns &insulating bricks. Besides precious & semi precious stones , caustic soda , calcium carbide , nylon & tyres etc.
Rajasthan has rich deposits of zinc concentrates , emerald , garnet , gypsum , silver - ore , asbestos , feldspar , & mica. The state also abounds in salt , rock phosphate , marble & red stone deposits.
Irrigation & Power : The total irrigation potential of the state is 25.42 lakh hectare. The state has purchased 995 crore million units of power in addition to its own generation of 833 crore units of power.
